An applicant for Resident Membership in the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) must:
- be a resident or fellow in good standing in a neurological training program in North America approved by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada, or the equivalent entity in Mexico;
- or in a fellowship immediately following completion of a neurological surgery-training program.
Residency must have been completed at an accredited program within North America. Residents enrolled in osteopathic (DO) neurosurgery not accredited by the ACGME will only be eligible for CNS Resident Membership under the sponsorship of their Resident Program Director – provided the Program Director is an active CNS member.
Residents in North America are provided complimentary membership through educational grants to residents.
Residents in ACGME accredited programs are automatically granted a CNS Resident member account at the commencement of their programs and do not need to apply. For more information regarding your membership, contact us at email@example.com.
Residents from Canada, Mexico, and DO programs not ACGME accredited must submit a Resident membership application, including a non-refundable application fee of $25 via credit card, check, or money order (must be in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank), made payable to the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
International Residents (outside of North America) should submit an application for International Vista Resident membership.
